Jack Wolf is an artist working with old and new technologies, researching and re-appropriating them to investigate contemporary issues such as migration and data, as well as technology itself. He has worked and lived in London, Berlin and Frankfurt, has a degree in visual communication and is currently enrolled in a masters in Media Arts at the University of Arts Berlin. He is particularly interested in how technology can be used to understand our world differently – technology as an investigative tool to highlight and critique parts of contemporary society.
His work manifests itself in different mediums such as VR (virtual reality) and computer games as well as more traditional mediums: print, web and film. Along side his practice jack develops community workshops in open source film making and works for an initiative that helps refugees integrate into creative platforms around his home city.
Jack Wolf is part of the art and project space 2 OG – CONTEMPORARY OPPORTUNITIES at Alte Münze.
