Expect the unexpected at Studio Olivia Steele in the artist hub of Alte Münze for an open studio visit and book launch in celebration of Berlin Gallery Weekend 2019. Visitors are invited to draw back the velvet curtain of contemporary artist Olivia Steele’s carefully curated world to view her private artwork collection of stunning neons, treasures and found objects from around the globe. The highly sought after wearable art and limited edition prints made with love and intention by the artist herself will be available for purchase during the event. This is a chance to see the working studio of an international artist and learn more about neon as a medium, while also gathering insights into Steele’s practice.
Coinciding with the open studio event will be the launch of her new book Conceptual Confessions V3. The hardcover art book contains over 160 satin pages celebrating 10 years of carefully curated artworks and installations that shed light on the world and philosophy of the artist. The beauty of this book is that it is a work of art in itself, featuring a stunning embossed linen cover complete with a hypnotic lenticular print of her signature Third Eye Activation Portal.
